Pale straw.
nose
Peach and citrus notes with a background complexity of strawberry and mushroom.
palate
Typical Pinot Gris characters of baked apple and custard predominate. An appealing oiliness defines the mid palate. The finish is dry with a lovely depth of flavour.
comments
After picking and pressing the individual parcels were tank fermented at warm temperatures. At the end of fermentation the wines were aged on full fermentation lees for three months.

vineyard region
The fruit was sourced from the d'Avergene vineyard in Marlborough and the Glasnevin Vineyard in Waipara. The d'Avergene Vineyard is located in the lower Wairau Valley and has deep fertile soils where the Glasnevin Vineyard is sited on the Waipara River and has free draining alluvial soils.

Long warm summer with excellent flavour development through the ripening period with some moisture towards the end.
