Make hay while the sun shines, that’s the MUD HOUSE HAY MAKeR way! We’ve taken advantage of the world renowned New Zealand grape growing conditions to craft our knockout multi-regional Hay Maker wines.
It takes a lot of heart to craft a HAY MAKeR wine. The MUD HOUSE ‘WINEOLOGY’ crew heroically journeyed up and down New Zealand in search of premium wine growing regions that would offer consistently high quality parcels of fruit. So far, they’ve come up with a ‘stunner’ of a Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, two wee ‘beauties’ from the Hawke's Bay, a Merlot and a Chardonnay, and a ‘sound’ South Island Riesling.
We don’t expect you to swirl, sniff, gulp and spit these prime examples of New Zealand wine magic; just sip and enjoy.
The hay bale or ‘big round’ as we call it, featured on the HAY MAKeR label, has symbolic meaning for everyone at MUD HOUSE. It reminds us to always make hay while the sun is shining, we live by that motto.
