A concentrated but elegant wine. Lifted aromas of dark cherry and berries with complex notes of mocha and cinnamon on the nose. Luscious bramble, cherry and spice give generous length to the palate.

TASTING NOTES

COLOUR

Deep garnet red

NOSE

Lifted aromas of dark cherry and berry fruit, with complex notes of mocha and cinnamon and hints of freshly crushed herbs.

PALATE

A concentrated but elegant wine. Luscious bramble, dark cherry and spice characters, accented by soft rounded tannins and a fine acidity that carries through the generous length.

SERVE

At cool room temperature.

This single vineyard wine was solely sourced from the very best parcels of our Mud House vineyard in the Bendigo sub-region of Central Otago. The vineyard’s free draining loam soils over schist gravel makes it a natural home for outstanding Pinot Noir. The vast diurnal temperatures add to the structure and increases concentration.

MATURATION

This wine was matured in 100% French oak barrels. 25% of which were new and the remainder were a mix of older oak.
