With nature’s work done and the viticulturists’ year of careful tending complete, the artist’s brush is passed to the winemaker.

Mud House New Zealand wineries are multi-million dollar facilities, bristling with stainless steel and leading wine making technology. Both of our wineries have been carefully designed to minimise human intervention in the natural winemaking process. Simply put, our investment into our wineries extends our winemaking capacity while maintaining quality, enabling us to produce relatively large parcels of premium cool climate New Zealand wine.

Like the conductor of an orchestra, each of our winemakers leads, the timing, combinations, and volumes that bring together the right notes at the right time to create exquisitely harmonious wine tasting experiences. And they do all this wearing jeans and gumboots.
