Our Vineyards

The New Zealand vineyard is where it all begins. No hothouse pampering for our little lovelies, just gravel beneath their roots and plenty of good old-fashioned, character-building weather. We choose the location of our New Zealand vineyards with enormous care, matching grape varieties to their ideal environment.

A broad river valley between the mountains and the sea, enjoying cool sunny conditions. Best known for wickedly confident sauvignon blanc.

Sheltered by coastal hills and periodically fan-dried by a warm nor’-wester, Waipara breeds exquisitely scented waif-like riesling and rotund pinot noir. A mountain valley with a continental climate provides the torturous conditions through which pinot noir finds true salvation, while pinot gris becomes wonderfully crisp and spicy.
