You look at Tracy Taylor and she beams energy and enthusiasm. Growing up in rural New Zealand gave Tracy the platform she needed to be where she is today and she’s happy to say she’s “nailed it”.
After starting in the banking sector in Hawke’s Bay, Tracy fast realised that a routine desk job wasn’t her thing and was drawn down the viticultural route, training in viticulture and wine science, where she was the first student to achieve a double degree and graduate from Charles Stuart EIT, continuing onto Horticulture Research as a Research Associate, then Pernod Ricard as their Viticulture Manager.
Tracy is responsible for maintaining a strong relationship with Accolade’s contract growers, supporting them to grow quality grapes in a sustainable manner, ensuring exceptional fruit is always produced.
With this background Tracy’s not only an asset to the viticultural team but also the winemaking team. When she hasn’t got a wine glass in her hand associate wine judging, she’ll either be soaking up the outdoors or sitting on her horses back on top of her world. Her path doesn’t end in the vineyard it only begins.
