Mud House Swan Reviews

2007 MUD HOUSE SWAN
Marlborough Chardonnay

23 August 2009- Sunday Magazine NZ - John Saker food and wine matching suggestion

On its own, this reserve-tier chardonnay has a giving, soothing texture and great flavour subtlety.  A more assertive side will emerge alongside this Steamed Tofu with Greens and Pickled Cabbage recipe.

Michael Cooper - New Releases

4 STARS out of 5.  "High-impact style, offering concentrated, stone-fruit flavours strongly seasoned with toasty oak.  Mouthfilling, rich, peachy and slightly creamy, with loads of personality."

01 May 2009- Cuisine Magazine - NZ Chardonnay Tasting

4 STARS

"Being the Mud House reserve tier, the Swan label snaffles the finest fruit parcels.  This Chardonnay slides across the palate with endearing softness, offering light meal and spice flavours.  Drink now or cellar for up to three years from now"

Complex wine packed with lemon, melon, stonefruit and hazelnut. Spice and mealy notes give a very pleasing balance of sweet and savoury tones. There is luxurious concentration and texture to the palate.

Marlborough Chardonnay

The palate here displays a complex array of flavours; cooked apple, custard, pear and citrus, that are really rather applealing. A weighty wine with good integration of flavours and a yeasty-mealy layer that adds richness. There is moderate depth to the palate and nicely balanced too.
